For my art project, I explored the relationship between mood and dynamic form by creating a toothpick sculpture inspired by the music and energy I listened to during the process. I immersed myself in rhythmic beats, crescendos, and dynamic shifts, allowing the music to guide my hands. The result is a spiral structure that embodies energy and motion, capturing this radial design. The form uses rhythm of shapes and contrast to draw one's eyes around the form and landscape. The landscape is intentional and unified with the structure. Each layer builds on the previous one, symbolizing how different energy and sound can rise, expand, and evolve. The spiral’s energetic curvature suggests both harmony and chaos, as the unpredictable nature of the music influenced the composition’s spontaneity and design. In this way, the sculpture stands as a testament to the power of emotion to inspire and shape creative expression, transforming mood into a dynamic, tactile experience.
